Q. Do you have a shop?
We do! Take a look online at what we’ve currently got available at abbeydalebrewery.co.uk/shop. We can deliver nationwide!
We also have an on site shop which is open from midday-5pm every weekday (excluding Bank Holidays – check our website and social media for details of special opening hours). You can also place your order online and choose to collect from the brewery as part of the checkout process. Find us on Aizlewood Road, S8 0YX – we’re just off Abbeydale Road.
Q. Do you do brewery tours?
Brewery tours are not something we can routinely offer – our Sheffield brewery is very much an industrial production site and so we’re not usually geared up for visitors! That said, they are something we can offer around special occasions and these will always be advertised well in advance. If you’re a trade customer we may be able to offer training to your staff in the brewery – please contact your sales representative to discuss.
Q. Does your beer come in bottles/cans?
We’re largely can only and have our own shiny canning line! If you’re interested as to why, we’ve explained our reasoning in this blog post. Some of our more limited releases, in particular from our Funk Dungeon project, are released in bottle in very small batches, filled and labelled by hand.
Q. Where can I find and sample your beer?
In lots of places! Our pub, The Rising Sun at Nether Green, Sheffield, always has a great selection of our beers on including a number from our gluten free selection. And our Moonshine is one of the most seen beers on Sheffield bars, so you should be able to find it quite easily!
Beyond that, we supply hundreds of outlets across the country, delivering up to a hundred miles from Sheffield ourselves and nationwide via Eebria for trade customers and our courier partners can deliver to the general public nationwide too, so you can enjoy our beers without even having to leave your sofa.
If you’re truly desperate to know where we are in your area, drop us an email with your postcode and we’ll do our best to tell you who we supply directly to in your neck of the woods.
Q. I’ve placed an order online, when can I expect it to arrive?
Our delivery information can all be found here.
Q. I run a bottle shop/pub – how can I become a stockist?
Please head to the “Stock Our Beer” page which contains all the information you should need! Our sales team would be happy to help with any further queries and can be reached by phone on 0114 2812712, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm.
Q. Some of your beers are labelled as Gluten Free, but have barley (and often other gluten containing allergens) listed in the ingredients. Please can you explain?
Of course – our beers which are labelled as Gluten Free are brewed using a gluten reducing enzyme, which breaks down the gluten to a much reduced level considered safe to be labelled GF (below 20ppm). You can read more about how we make our beer Gluten Free in this blog post.
Q. Do you have anything alcohol free?
Yes – our Sparkling Hop Water is completely alcohol free, as well as being caffeine free, sugar free, gluten free, vegan friendly and naturally low in calories and carbohydrates with no artificial flavourings. It is not beer – it is, quite simply, sparkling water infused with hops – we like to think of it as a beer-adjacent soft drink or soda. You can read more about this mindful and healthy alcohol free beverage (including why we have decided not to go down the path of making alcohol free beer) in this blog post.
Q. I have purchased a cask of beer from your online shop for a party, how do I serve the beer at its best?
Firstly, thank you for choosing a cask of Abbeydale beer to join your celebration! We will email over a full written guide, but you may also find this handy video helpful. Please note we can only supply casks for collection from the brewery, or delivery in the following postcode areas of Sheffield – S1-3, S6-8, S10-11 & S17.
Q. I have a press enquiry, who should I contact?
Please drop us an email at [email protected] and we will get back to you as soon as possible. A selection of images which may be used can be found here (please take note of photography credits where applicable).
